Bridging the Literacy Gap: MTA Champions the LEAP Initiative

A bright future for the Mat-Su Valley starts with shared knowledge and accessible resources. We are excited to announce that MTA has stepped forward as a key supporter of the Books Unbound Initiative, investing directly in our LEAP (Literacy Expansion & Access Program) to drive meaningful change across our region.

While technological connectivity keeps us linked, foundational literacy is what truly empowers individuals to thrive. MTA’s support allows us to scale up our grassroots efforts—placing books directly into the hands of families, stocking remote literacy stations, and creating new avenues for learning. As a local cooperative, MTA’s investment reflects a deep understanding of rural community needs, ensuring that no neighborhood is left behind when it comes to educational access.

This collaboration strengthens the fabric of our community, proving that when local organizations align for a common cause, the impact is profound. We extend our deepest appreciation to MTA for partnering with us to build a more informed, connected, and literate Mat-Su Valley.
